Atlanta based Tzipporah Gerson-Miller and the deep work of Dance Therapy!

Tzipporah is not only a dear friend from college, she is a clinical social worker and therapist using dance as a medium for deep inner healing.  To say I am inspired by her is an understatement.

Using dance in therapy a unique and creative way to express emotions and explore the body’s relationship with the mind. Dance therapy is a type of psychological therapy which uses movement and dance to help people overcome emotional, physical, and psychological challenges. It is a powerful form of therapy that can help people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

In her words, “I use a unique blend of somatic, dance/movement and yoga therapy, as well as EMDR to create an integrative approach toward mental and physical well-being. Somatic awareness, movement, meditation, breath-work, postural analysis, movement, CBT, and the exploration of daily routines and lifestyle habits will be used to guide your care.

I have a deep passion for helping others to integrate past traumas and harms that have created unhealthy lifestyle patterns, loss of meaning and purpose, and mood disorders that hinder one’s ability to connect to their joy, inner peace, and self-compassion.”
